Introduction to Mindfulness for Faculty and Staff
All faculty and staff are invited to join us for a two-session mindfulness workshop series.
Week 1: Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment with a sense of curiosity and openness and without judgment. It’s not about getting rid of thoughts but rather learning to accept ourselves and our current situations and have a little more ease in our lives. It’s about balancing our doing mode with just being and being open to whatever arises (pleasant, unpleasant, neutral experiences).
At this introductory workshop, you will:
- experience mindfulness practices
- explore ways to bring mindfulness into daily life
- learn to improve your attention, energy, physical and emotional health
RSVP online to participate. Space is limited to 25 participants.
