Event Description

All faculty and staff are invited to join us for a two-session mindfulness workshop series.

Week 2: Psychological Flexibility - A key ingredient to psychological health

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to our immediate experience with a sense of curiosity and openness. Mindfulness is at the core of psychological flexibility. Psychological flexibility means “contacting the present moment fully as a conscious human being, and based on what the situation affords, changing or persisting in behavior in the service of chosen values”.

At this workshop, you will:

  • Learn to be present with difficult thoughts and emotions
  • Focus on acting on values rather than impulses
  • Explore mental flexibility to move towards a meaningful, vital life

RSVP online to participate. Space is limited to 25 participants.

Facilitated by Michael Gotlib, Psy.D.

Cost: No cost
