Skin Cancer Screening for Employees

All faculty and staff are invited to participate, by appointment, in a skin cancer screening, by Board Certified Dermatologists.

The screening will consist of reviewing areas of the skin that are of concern (e.g., atypical moles), and should take approximately 10 minutes, with time for signing in.

Areas of concern might include if a mole has any of the following features:

  • Asymmetry: not the same on both sides, if a line was drawn through the middle.

  • Border: irregular or hazy/undefined borders

  • Color: irregular color (not flesh colored, tan or brown) with subtle areas of tan, brown, dark brown, red, blue or black.

  • Diameter: larger than 6 mm (¼ inch) the size of a pencil eraser

  • Evolution: noticeable change in a previously stable mole, or the appearance of a new mole after many years

Make an appointment for the screening by calling 609-258-5035.
