I aim to make the counseling relationship a safe and comfortable space – a base from which to explore those aspects of students’ lives that may be painful or difficult. My goal is to create a dialogue that will help students expand the menu of choices they feel free to make in their lives so that they can exercise their authentic values with joy. In a spirit of openness and curiosity, I help students develop a better understanding of themselves – how they came to act and feel in certain ways, with the goal of helping them develop acceptance and compassion for who they are at present and a sense of hope and excitement about the ways in which they can yet grow and evolve.
