I believe that asking for help is a sign of strength and I encourage students to allow themselves to explore their vulnerability and practice self-compassion. My approach to therapy is integrative; I mainly use techniques from the psychodynamic, dialectical behavioral and cognitive behavioral treatment models. I am interested in delving deeper into the factors shaping one’s different facets of identity and playing a role in one’s adjustment to college, graduate school, a new culture, and other life transitions, while at the same time, helping students identify useful coping skills and build resilience.
