Bio

I love to create a supportive and compassionate space in therapy where students feel heard and safe to explore, challenge and validate feelings and thoughts that are at the root of their suffering and impede them from reaching their life goals. I believe that asking for help is a sign of strength and I encourage students to allow themselves to explore their vulnerability and practice self-compassion. My approach to therapy is integrative; I mainly use techniques from the psychodynamic, dialectical behavioral and cognitive behavioral treatment models. I am interested in delving deeper into the factors shaping one’s different facets of identity and playing a role in one’s adjustment to college, graduate school, a new culture, and other life transitions, while at the same time, helping students identify useful coping skills and build resilience.
