BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students) is a confidential education program, free and available to all students, where you can:

  • discuss your alcohol use,
  • explore the effects of your drinking, and
  • plan how you might reduce your risks due to alcohol.

The program involves your completion of an online assessment tool and a meeting with a BASICS provider to review your responses.

You may be referred to BASICS after having an alcohol-related incident or you can choose to participate any time you wish to explore how alcohol fits into your life.

Make an appointment for BASICS online through MyUHS or by emailing [email protected] or calling 609-258-5743.
