Looking for a space to discuss what is on your mind that you don’t feel comfortable enough discussing with a counselor but you don’t want to “burden” your friends who have their own stuff going on? Join the Peer Health Advisers and fellow students for Peer Wellness Circles. Topics CoveredPeer Wellness Circles are a peer support space where you can share your thoughts, feelings, concerns, and hopes in a group of peers with similar experiences as Princeton undergraduate students. The goal is to promote:validationnormalizationsocial support acceptanceDiscussions may include experiences with different campus resources, discussions on how to navigate or access them, or how to work through difficult situations. Peer Wellness Circles can be used as an alternative or supplement to clinical support/counseling, and is not catered specifically towards students with mental illness.Facilitation and Group ExpectationsThe group will be coordinated by Peer Health Advisers (PHA) but all members of the group are encouraged to have shared ownership in taking care of one another and maintaining a non-judgmental and supportive space. These expectations include adhering to established group guidelines and calling in other members of the group when appropriate.Time and LocationsRocky/MatheyTBDYeh/NCWTBDAbout PrivacyPeer Wellness Circles are private spaces, where members are asked to maintain privacy of everything discussed.
